PSA: Scheduled Road Work to Begin on Acharya Drive

The Town of Paradise advises the public that, starting Monday, June 27, 2016, scheduled road work will begin on Acharya Drive to allow for the installation of a curb, gutters, sidewalks and storm sewers.
Road work will occur at the following times and will run for approximately two months:
- Monday to Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Every second Saturday beginning July 9 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Town Closures and Scheduling Changes in Observance of Discovery Day Holiday

The Town of Paradise is advising residents that the Town Hall and the Paradise Double Ice Complex will be closed on Monday, June 27, 2016 in observance of the Discovery Day Holiday.
The Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre and the Body Quest Fitness Centre will remain open with day camp and tri-sport going ahead as planned.
The Town is also advising residents that there will be no change to garbage and recycling collection.
PSA: Planned Detours to Accommodate ‘Paint the Pavement’ Initiative

The Town of Paradise is advising residents of planned detours in the areas of Elizabeth Park Elementary, Paradise Elementary and Holy Family Elementary during the week of June 20, 2016 to accommodate the Town’s ‘Paint the Pavement’ initiative. An initiative, announced in April, aimed at building community spirit, encouraging artistic talent, and calming traffic through the use of large street murals. Easter Seals NL Presents Plaque to Town

Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador recently recognized the efforts of the Town of Paradise in creating an accessible and inclusive atmosphere for sports and activities. The Paradise Double Ice Complex is a fully accessibly facility, which includes two NHL-sized ice surfaces that fully accommodate sledge hockey with appropriate benches and ice access from the sidelines. Coyote Sighting in Ashlen Crescent Area

The Town of Paradise is advising residents of coyote sightings in the Ashlen Crescent area.
A coyote is a medium-sized animal with long legs; a tawny-grey coat with black tips; black tipped, bushy tail; reddish-yellow legs, paws and muzzle; and white fur on the throat, belly, and inside the ears. Coyotes have been in confirmed as being in our province since the 1990s.
If you see a Coyote in the Town of Paradise:
- Do not feed them
- Never leave pet food or edible garbage outside
