The Town of Paradise today (Tuesday, April 29, 2025) announced it was naming a street to honour Paradise resident J.D. Trainor who passed away earlier this year. Mayor Dan Bobbett and Council were joined by J.D.’s family, Premier Dr. Andrew Furey, and MHAs for the announcement.

The Town of Paradise advises that crews will be completing site assessment work on Neary Road starting Wednesday, April 30. The work involves drilling along the side of the road and is part of the water and sewer project planned for Neary Road. It is expected to take two days to complete and with intermittent traffic slowdowns expected. Access will be maintained to residential properties. The Town of Paradise advises that water and sewer projects for Bayview Heights and Drovers Road are scheduled to start on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. These projects are part of the Town’s Water and Sewer Priority List.

April 11, 2025 – Paradise, NL: The Town of Paradise advises that construction for Phase I of the Kenmount Road Rehabilitation Project is scheduled to begin the week of April 14, 2025, and will continue through to the fall of 2025. Work will take place daily from Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Town of Paradise advises of a temporary water shut-off for Evergreen Village on Friday, April 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This water shut-off is required to complete repairs to the main water line in the area. Once water service is restored, residents are reminded to run their water for a few minutes to clear any potential discoloration or air in the pipes. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
