The Town of Paradise advises that its After School Program will not be available on Monday, March 13, 2017 and parents / guardians are asked to make alternate arrangements for after school care. Due to roof damage from the high winds over the weekend, the Paradise Double Ice Complex and Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre are closed and Town staff are assessing the facilities. We will provide a further update on Monday. The Town of Paradise apologizes for the inconvenience.

The Town of Paradise advises any residents without power to visit the warming centres in our neighbouring municipalities of Mount Pearl (City Hall, Bannister Street) and Conception Bay South (Salvation Army Citadel, 331 Conception Bay Highway). As the Paradise Double Ice Complex is closed due to roof damage, the Town is unable to open a warming centre tonight (Saturday, March 11). Town of Paradise crews are out inspecting Town buildings, roads and traffic lights. Due to the extremely high winds, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary are advising all residents to avoid all unnecessary travel. For emergency services from fire, police or ambulance, please call 911. To notify the Town of downed traffic lights or debris blocking Town roads, please call 782-1400

The Town of Paradise advises the Paradise Double Ice Complex and the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre are closed for Saturday, March 11, and will remain closed on Sunday, March 12, 2017. The extremely high winds have damaged the roof of the Complex. Town staff are on site monitoring the situation. All activities and events at both facilities scheduled for Saturday and Sunday are cancelled. An update on operations for Monday, March 13, 2017 will be provided by Sunday evening.
