The Town of Paradise is advising residents that due to current weather conditions affecting road construction, the planned detour on Topsail Road is being extended.
Topsail Road will reopen at 5:00 p.m. today, Thursday, October 27, 2016. The detour will start again at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016, reopen at 5:00 p.m. and remain open for the weekend.

Fire Chief Jerry Peach of St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD) and Paradise Mayor Dan Bobbett will host the grand opening ceremony of the new Paradise Fire Station No. 8. The Town of Paradise is advising residents of a planned detour on Topsail Road for Thursday, October 27, 2016, as part of Topsail Road Phase IV project. The detour will divert traffic through Spracklin Boulevard and Sgt Donald Lucas Drive (see attached photo for route). The Town of Paradise advises the public that, starting Monday, October 24, 2016, scheduled flushing of dead end hydrants will begin on Topsail Road, Paradise Road, St. Thomas Line, and all roads off of those listed, in accordance with the Town’s water system and fire flow protection maintenance programs.
