Update: 1:30 p.m. August 13 - Crews are working on the repairs to the sanitary sewer lift station and the detour remains in place to accommodate the work. The detour is expected to be in place until tomorrow, Wed. Aug. 14. Traffic calming measures have been put in place on Carlingford Street.

The Town of Paradise is advising residents that, beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12, roadwork will be occurring on Topsail Road between the Kenmount Road offramp and Carlisle Drive. Work will include completing a retaining wall, along with curb, gutter and sidewalk, and road patching. Work will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 6 p.m daily. On Tuesday, August 6, the Town of Paradise held a ceremony to celebrate the installation of a new lighting system at the large ballfield in Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park. The Town of Paradise is advising of a planned water shut-off on Wednesday, August 7 for the Paradise Road area. It will affect Paradise Road between Inwood Crescent and Bernard Drive. The water will be shut-off at 9 a.m. and will be restored by 5 p.m. The water shut-off is required as part of the road work ongoing in the area. Please note the daycare in the area will be included in the shut-off. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience.
