Construction Project Update: June 21, 2019

Ongoing construction projects in the Town of Paradise for the period of June 24-28 include:

Karwood Roundabout: All road work is finished for this project, line painting will be completed as weather permits.
Topsail Road Roundabout: Work will continue in the intersection with the traffic lights deactivated intermittently as required. Traffic control will be in place when lights are deactivated. Work will also be completed on the shoulders of the road along Topsail Road and McNamara Drive with minimal traffic interruptions are expected for this part of the work.
McNamara Drive: Road work and sewer upgrades are nearing completion and work is expected to conclude in the next week. Paving operations will be scheduled as weather permits.
Clearview Heights: Road upgrades continue and the detour is in place for the duration of this construction project.
Paradise Road: Work continues for Phase III upgrades to the section of road between Stormont Street and Archibald Drive.
Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park: Work continues on light installation on the large baseball field and is expected to be completed mid-July. The park remains closed during the day while construction is ongoing. The playground, skate park, small ballfield and soccer field are open evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday through Sunday. Park users are asked to follow all posted signage, observe all closures and avoid the construction area at the large baseball field.
Paradise Park: This project is nearing completion and the parking lot is now accessible. Park users are asked to obey signage in the area.
Camelot Crescent Playground: The playground is expected to open within the next couple of weeks. The equipment is installed and ground work is ongoing.

Line Painting, Regular Street upgrades / paving and water and sewer work are ongoing throughout the construction season.
