Connecting Paradise One Ride at a Time

The Town of Paradise partners with Metrobus to bring reliable and accessible public transit to our community. Route 30 operates during weekday peak hours and on Saturdays, providing a convenient link between the Paradise Double Ice Complex and the Avalon Mall in St. John's. Route 30 connects major hubs, including Topsail Road, Kenmount Road, and McNamara Drive, making it easier to travel through Paradise and beyond. We’re Connecting Paradise One Ride at a Time!

Riders can pay their fare with exact cash or the m-Card, an interactive smart card that makes paying for transit simple. The m-Card is available for purchase at the Paradise Double Ice Complex, online, or at select sales outlets. Please note that Metrobus operates on an exact cash fare policy, and drivers do not carry change.

Further Enhancements to Route 30 Expected for 2025

Since 2021, Route 30 in Paradise has gone from an annual ridership of 7,300 to 22,000 in 2023, and we are on track to reach 27,000 riders. With this increased usage the Town is investing to further enhance Metrobus Route 30 in Paradise. In 2024 enhancements were made to add more stops to the Avalon Mall and starting in September 2025, Route 30 will move from a morning and evening commuter route to an all-day service.

Since 1958, Metrobus, has been providing public transit services in the St. John’s region, operating 22 fixed routes and servicing over three million rides annually. The Town of Paradise is regularly working with Metrobus to explore ways to improve connectivity and better serve our growing community, ensuring transit remains a practical and accessible option for all residents.

For Paradise residents with a disability the Town also has an Accessible Transit Project eligible residents can avail of free taxi service within the Town.
