Ongoing construction projects in the Town of Paradise for the period of July 2-5 include:
Topsail Road Roundabout: Work is ongoing in the curb lane on Topsail Road and at the Topsail Road / McNamara Drive intersection. In the morning, traffic flow will be maintained eastbound with minimal interruptions until 9:00 a.m. and in the evening, traffic flow westbound will be maintained with minimal interruptions beginning at 4:00 p.m.
McNamara Drive: Road work and sewer upgrades are finished and the first layer of asphalt is completed. The final layer of asphalt will be laid later in the summer and the Town will provide an update when that is scheduled.
Clearview Heights: Road upgrades continue and the detour is in place for the duration of this construction project.
Paradise Road: Work continues for Phase III upgrades to the section of road between Stormont Street and Archibald Drive. Access to Camrose Drive via Paradise Road will be unavailable beginning 7 a.m. Tuesday, July 2. Access to Camrose Drive will instead be available via Deborah Lynn Heights on St. Thomas Line. The access closure is needed as part of the Phase III Paradise Road Upgrades. Access via Paradise Road is expected to recommence on Friday, July 5.
Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park: Work continues on light installation on the large baseball field and is expected to be completed mid-July. The park remains closed during the day while construction is ongoing. The playground, skate park, small ballfield and soccer field are open evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday through Sunday. Park users are asked to follow all posted signage, observe all closures and avoid the construction area at the large baseball field.
Camelot Crescent Playground: The playground equipment is installed and ground work is ongoing. Weather permitting, work at the playground is expected to be completed within the next week.
Line Painting, Regular Street upgrades / paving and water and sewer work are ongoing throughout the construction season.
