The Town of Paradise today announced that work will resume on the Topsail Road / McNamara Drive Roundabout construction project next week. This project involves upgrading the sewer system on McNamara Drive, installing a roundabout at the intersection, and upgrades to Clearview Heights.
“This is an important project for enhancing traffic flow in Paradise,” said Mayor Bobbett. “Last Fall considerable progress was made on this project and we’re pleased to see work resuming early in the 2019 construction season. Over the next several months, the intersection will be converted to a roundabout and upgrades to Clearview Heights will be completed.”
The project is planned to minimize traffic impacts as much as possible, especially during the peak morning and evening traffic times. As work progresses at the intersection, lane closures and traffic diversions will be in place and information will be posted to the Town website and social media.
“This project is the latest investment in the Town’s road network. Once completed, this roundabout will bring further improvements to our transportation system in Paradise, which will benefit all residents,” said Mayor Bobbett. “We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this important road project and ask our residents for their continued patience and understanding as we work to improve our road network in Town.”
During the construction, the public is reminded to use caution in the area, to reduce speeds and follow all signage and traffic notices. Update information will be available at
