The Town of Paradise will welcome the Toronto Maple Leafs for their upcoming training camp from Friday, September 13 to Sunday, September 15. The Maple Leafs will hold practices and intra-squad scrimmages at the Paradise Double Ice Complex.
The events are open to the public and the Maple Leafs are requiring tickets for all the events at the Paradise Double Ice Complex on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A limited inventory of tickets will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 8 a.m. each morning of the practices and scrimmages outside the main entry to the Complex. All tickets are free with voluntary donations being collected at the door in support of the Janeway Children's Hospital.
The Maple Leafs are also holding a community barbecue outside the Paradise Double Ice Complex on Sunday, afternoon, September 15. The event is open to the public and voluntary donations are being collected at the barbeque to support Janeway Children's Hospital.
Public Parking for the events will be available at the following locations:
- Paradise Town Hall, 28 McNamara Drive
- Dianne Whalen Soccer Complex, 89 McNamara Drive (Located behind the Carpenters Millwrights Collage on McNamara Drive)
- Park and Ride from Mount Pearl Glacier, 45 Olympic Drive, Mount Pearl: Four buses will run continuously from the Glacier with drop-off at the Town Hall daily from 6 a.m.to 4 p.m.
- Accessible Parking: Accessible parking will be available at the Paradise Double Ice Complex (accessible parking permit required)
Drop-off Location: Paradise Town Hall is the location for individuals being dropped-off for the event.
There is no public vehicle access to Sarah Davis Way or to the Paradise Double Ice Complex parking lot.
Parking in private and / or unauthorized areas may result in vehicles being ticketed and / or towed.
