The Town of Paradise today gave an update on operations under COVID-19 Alert Level 2.
The Town Hall is open for appointments, residents can call 782-1400 to schedule a time. While it is preferred to use virtual meetings and appointments through email, teleconference or videoconferencing, in-person appointments can be arranged when needed.
The Paradise Double Ice Complex is open for confirmed rental groups. All users must follow the requirements of the user groups and public health guidelines.
The BodyQuest Fitness Centre will open Monday, July 20 to current members. Users will have to register a time to attend the Fitness Centre and appointments will be limited to a maximum of one hour duration to support required public health guidelines. Details on how to make appointments will be announced later this week and will be available on the Town web site at
paradise.ca/FitnessCentre
Repairs have been completed to the Milton Road Ball Field and the facility is open for use for the local sporting associations.
Crews have been working to prepare playgrounds for opening and public use. The following playgrounds are now open:
- Atlantica Drive
- Ashgrove Drive
- Cameo Drive
- Canterbury Drive
- Carlingford Street
- Christine Crescent
- Duff’s Crescent
- Elgin Drive
- Kinder Drive
- Lancefield Street
- Niagara Place
- Ranger Avenue
- St. Thomas Community Centre
These playgrounds are in addition to the ones open effective July 2 and there are now 22 playgrounds open throughout the Town. The above listed areas are cleaned and monitored throughout the summer, however, these areas are not cleaned twice daily. Residents using playground areas are reminded to practice proper hand hygiene, to bring hand sanitizer, and to ensure physical distancing is practiced.
Those visiting Town buildings and using recreation areas are reminded to follow public health guidelines and posted signage at all times.
