The Town understands the inconvenience caused with recycling collection suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To assist residents, the Town will hold a special Recycling Drop-off
Date:Tuesday, April 7
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m, or once the trucks are full
Location Paradise Double Ice Complex Parking Lot
Two recycling trucks, one for cardboard / paper and one for containers, will be on-site and residents will be responsible for placing blue bags in the appropriate truck. Crews will not be available to assist residents in placing the recycling in the trucks. All recycling must be separated as either cardboard / paper or containers and in separate blue bags. All cardboard is to be in blue bags, no bundled cardboard will be accepted.
Physical distancing measures must be practiced at all times. Drivers must follow all signage and traffic directional measures in place.
This service is being offered for regular household recycling that would normally be collected curbside. Residents are asked to be respectful and only bring the recycling that has gathered since the COVID-19 pandemic caused the suspension of regular collection. (This is not meant to be an opportunity for “spring cleaning” of recyclables gathered in the house.) Regular recycling guidelines for what is accepted remain in effect and that information is available on the
website.
Garbage is still being collected curbside as per the regular schedule, therefore no garbage will be collected at the Recycling Drop-off and no garbage trucks will be on site.
Full guidelines and details are available on the
website.
