The Town of Paradise is the recipient of a 2020 Inclusion Award (Municipal Category) from the Coalition of Person with Disabilities Newfoundland and Labrador (COD-NL).
Annually COD-NL recognizes persons and organizations that it feels have contributed to a more inclusive and accessible Newfoundland and Labrador. The Town of Paradise was recognized for its work in starting to develop an accessible transit program, beginning accessibility audits at its facilities, and for consulting with COD-NL on accessibility features to supporting hosting the 2019 Canadian Tire Para Hockey Cup.
The Town is honoured to receive the 2020 Inclusion Award and appreciates the guidance and support from the COD-NL on accessibility and inclusiveness. Making Paradise inclusive to all residents, visitors and stakeholders, is a top priority and has been identified as a key pillar in the Town’s strategic plan, Your Paradise – Plan 2022.
