The Town of Paradise remains under a state of emergency. All businesses are to remain closed and non-essential vehicles are not permitted on Town roads.
Snow clearing operations resumed at 1 a.m. The focus for the morning is on Topsail Road and the collector roads. With this amount of snow, it will take time to make one cut on all roads. Residents are asked to have patience as crews are working as effectively and as safely as they can. No vehicles are permitted to be parked on any Town roads.
Residents are asked to stay home and stay safe. Residents should not be out walking on Town roads, as there is still low visibility with significant snowfall and crews are working on snow clearing.
Power is restored to the St. John’s Regional Water Station on Topsail Road, the station is operational and the water conservation order is lifted. We thank the crews who worked through the night in the severe weather to complete this work.
The Town will continue to provide updates throughout the day (Saturday, January 18). Residents are advised to follow the advice and warnings of provincial government and safety organizations.
