The Town of Paradise advises the public that, starting Monday, May 2, 2016, scheduled annual flushing of dead end hydrants will begin on Topsail Road, Paradise Road, St. Thomas Line, and all roads off of those listed, in accordance with the Town’s water system and fire flow protection maintenance programs.
Hydrant flushing will occur from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and will run for approximately six to eight weeks.
As part of this work, residents may notice temporary changes in their water service, including; low water pressure, changes in water colour and/or cloudiness, and slight changes in taste and/or odour of water. In the event of water colour changes and/or cloudiness, residents are asked to run cold water until it appears clear.
Residents are also reminded to refrain from doing laundry where possible between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. while flushing continues to lessen the likelihood of clothes becoming soiled or stained by discoloured water.
The Town of Paradise apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause. For more information please visit: www.paradise.ca
