There’s a new app for that in the Town of Paradise. Effective December 18, residents can get an app that provides the Town’s garbage and recycling collection calendar and information on Town events and news.
“We’re excited to launch a Town app for our residents,” said Mayor Dan Bobbett. “We know that many residents want an app to be able to receive garbage and recycling collection reminders, check the schedule or have another access point for Town news and events. The Town of Paradise app offers that for our residents.”
With the free app, users can access the garbage and recycling collection calendar for a specific residential address, opt in and set when they want to receive the reminders. Additional features, including service requests, are in development for the Town and will be implemented in 2025.
The app is the latest part of the Town’s work to enhance resident communications. Last year, a resident notification system was implemented which allows residents to receive updates and information through text message, email, or phone call.
“The app is a great addition to our resident notification system. These services complement our phone and email systems, Town website, and social media platforms. It’s about making sure we offer a variety of communications options to meet residents needs. In whatever way residents want to communicate with us, we want to be able to offer that,” said Mayor Bobbett.
The app is developed by Muni, a Canadian company that develops platforms to support municipal interactions with residents. To download the free app, visit the App store or Google Play store and search for “Town of Paradise”.
