PSA: Kenmount Road Rehabilitation Project Phase I – April 14, 2025

April 11, 2025 – Paradise, NL: The Town of Paradise advises that construction for Phase I of the Kenmount Road Rehabilitation Project is scheduled to begin the week of April 14, 2025, and will continue through to the fall of 2025. Work will take place daily from Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The project involves 550 metres of Kenmount Road starting at approximately civic 1222 to the McNamara Drive intersection. For the project, the section of road will be fully resurfaced and widened to include a third turning lane; storm sewer systems, curb and gutters, and sidewalks will be installed, and a new active transportation trail will be constructed to enhance pedestrian and cyclist access.

Businesses remain open and accessible during construction. Crews will work to maintain traffic flow, especially during the morning and evening commute times, however, at times, due to the nature of the work, there will be traffic slowdowns and interruptions. School buses will be given priority access through the construction zone to minimize disruptions.

Drivers are urged to use caution in the area and follow all posted traffic controls. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
