PSA: Ongoing Work at Lift Station 10 - November 03, 2024

The Town of Paradise advises that crews are continuing their efforts to resolve the issue at Lift Station 10 on St. Thomas Line. We understand the frustration this has caused, especially for residents living near the lift station.

Crews are working around the clock to remove sewage from the chamber to assess pump functionality. Getting the levels low enough to fully assess the pumps has been a challenge.

Pumper trucks remain on-site to manage wastewater flow, and traffic delays are still in effect on St. Thomas Line and Topsail Road. Residents are asked to take alternate routes and follow all traffic control measures. Please continue to be mindful of water usage such as flushing, using washing machines and dishwashers to help ease strain on the system, so that our crews are able to assess the pumps. This work pertains to the existing lift station the new lift station is still set to be commissioned early in the new year.
