The Town of Paradise today (November 18) advised that the external pump needed for the Lift Station 10 bypass has arrived. The pump arrived on site Sunday (November 17) morning and crews have been setting up the bypass system. This pump is less noisy than a traditional pump and commonly used in residential areas. Once the bypass is operational and functioning, the Town will lift the State of Emergency. At that time, the number of pumper trucks will be reduced at the site. A small number of trucks will remain parked at the site as a redundancy and will only be used as necessary. We extend our apologies to those living in the area who are dealing with the noise from the pumper trucks and the work on site. When the bypass is operational and the need for pumper trucks is reduced, residents will notice a distinct reduction in the noise in the area. We will provide a further update in the coming days.
