December 17, 2024 – The 2025 Budget for the Town of Paradise was tabled at the Public Council meeting on December 17. The $44.6 million dollar budget maintains the mil rates at 7.4 and 11.5 for residential and commercial respectively along with no changes to the water and sewer fees.
The 2025 Budget presents the right fiscal plan for the Town of Paradise so that we can offer the services, programs and initiatives to meet the needs of residents and businesses,” said Mayor Dan Bobbett. “Our Town is not immune to rising costs and increased financial pressures and maintaining the mil rates means we have the revenue to sustain our operations and services provided to residents.”
While there are no changes to the mil rate, residential property assessments have increased this year. As such, residents will notice a small increase to their 2025 tax bill, estimated to be $102 per household. The Town will continue to offer the Residential Property Tax Assistance Program and the Seniors Discount to support those facing challenges paying their tax bills.
“A key part of our budget process is our public engagement with residents and businesses. This year we had the highest participation rate in our annual Budget Talks since we implemented the initiative. We thank all those who took the time to share their feedback and input with us. The information received from Budget Talks 2025 was carefully considered as Council prepared our budget,” said Mayor Bobbett.
