The Town of Paradise today provided an update on the opening and available amenities for Town parks.
Paradise Park – open effective Saturday, June 13
The main green space, the dog park, and the beach volleyball court are open for public use. The playground area and the canteen remain closed as required under Alert Level 3. Staff are preparing the Splash Pad for the summer season and an update on the opening date will be provided next week.
Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park – open effective Saturday, June 13
The basketball area, ball hockey, skate park and beach area are open to the public. The playground area remains closed as required under Alert Level 3.
Tennis Courts are open and users are reminded to follow the required public health guidelines.
Trails are open and designated as one way to support physical distancing guidelines. For those taking their pets with them, remember pets must be on a leash at all times and “poop and scoop” is required.
Dianne Whalen Memorial Soccer Complex and Milton Road Ball Field are closed to the public. These facilities are maintained for sporting play and not for public use. The regular seasonal maintenance is completed and the fields are ready for use when local sporting associations are permitted to offer programming.
Residents are reminded to follow all public health guidelines and requirements when using Town parks and facilities.
The Town will continue to provide updates as further amenities are opened and as the public health guidelines, including advancements in Alert Levels, are available.
