Memberships

Having a Youth Membership allows you to drop into our non-registration programs without needing to pay drop-in fee! Simply verify your membership at our reception desk and they will pass you a bracelet that will let you into the program you are attending!

Youth Membership Cost: $15.00 Monthly or $50.00 Annually

We are proud to offer drop-in programs for youth 17 and below to avail of! When attending one of the following programs, you will need to acquire a drop-in bracelet from our reception desk to enter the program!

Please be advised that our Skate Park and Rock Wall require signed waivers from caretakers.

The current programs offered are as follows:

🏀 Open Gym

The Town of Paradise Hedley Blundon Gymnasium is open to youth 17 and under to participate in physical activity and sport. Activities will vary per session and equipment availability may change. From pickleball to basketball, activities change day to day and participants are welcome to bring their own equipment.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Program Duration: January 6 - June 27 (with the exception of March 6, 13, and 14)
Location: Paradise Double Ice Complex (Hedley Blundon Gymnasium)
Capacity: 30 people

🤸‍♂️ Ches Penney Youth Center

Come socialize and hang out with your friends in the Ches Penney Youth Center! Take your pick from various activities, including a rock-climbing wall, Xbox, and Meta Quest virtual reality headset. if you'd like to test your rock climbing skills, users will need to sign a waiver.

Please note: The Rock Wall will be inaccessible during the "Lunch Time Hangout".

🛹 Indoor Skate Park - Temporarily Closed

⛸ Youth Skating

🏒 Youth Shinny

Practice your hockey skills or have a game with your friends at our Youth Shinny. Just simply stop by our reception desk to get your bracelet. Please review our youth shinny rules and guidelines before entering the ice rink. Please note, full hockey gear is required.

Youth under the age of 12 years old who wish to play shinny are required to have an adult accompany them in the arena.

Schedule:

Monday from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Ages 6 - 9)
Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Ages 10 - 13)
Friday from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Ages 14 - 17)

Spring Programming

We are excited to offer Spring programming! Registration is required and payment will be accepted at Reception and the Town's Recreation Portal.

🎾 Pickleball Court Rentals

Move over, baseball! There's a new MVP in town, and it's called Pickleball! This paddleball game has the best aspects of tennis, badminton, and table tennis and is the fastest frowing sport in North America. It's a low-impact way to stay active and have a blast! You can team up with a buddy or play doubles with four players. So, grab your crew, and let's get pickling! With our four courts available for each time slot, we're thrilled to offer pickleball court rentals.
