Dan Bobbett was re-elected as Mayor for the Town of Paradise in September 2017. He was first elected as Mayor in September 2013 after serving as Councillor for eight years.
Born and raised in the community of Hermitage - Sandyville, Newfoundland and Labrador, Dan left in 1981 to attend college. In 1984, he graduated from the College of Trades and Technology with a diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology as well as a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology. During his college years, Dan also spent some time studying business at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Dan is currently employed as a Biomedical Engineering Technologist with Eastern Health and thoroughly enjoys his career in the healthcare sector.
Prior to being elected as Mayor, Dan has been a long-time volunteer with various community groups in Town. As Mayor, he firmly believes in contributing to the success of our community as evidenced by his visibility within the community through active participation with all of the volunteer groups, associations, and events.
When Dan isn't working, volunteering or advocating for the Town of Paradise, he can be found walking, running, or biking around the Town!
