We are looking for energetic people who enjoy working with children between the ages of 6 and 12 years. Duties include: implementing activities as outlined by supervisors and head counsellors, enhancing program content through new ideas, strong sense of safety awareness, good oral communication and customer service skills, and cleaning of work area.
Qualifications:
- Clear Certificate of Conduct / Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last 6 months)
- Valid Standard First Aid CPR Certificate
- High Five® Principles of Healthy Child Development
- Experience working in a summer program
- Post-secondary education in a field related to children / youth issues, needs, or development would be an asset (ex. recreation, physical education, education, early childhood education, social work, nursing)
- Experience in planning and implementing programming for children in a group setting and ability to instruct various sports activities, crafts and games
Period of employment: June 24 – August 22, 2025
Rate of Pay: $16.00/hour (Full-Time - 40 hours/week, Part-Time – 10-15 hours/week) (flex-time will be required)
